Dr. Gallahorn is the medical director and veterinarian at Animal Medical Care Center. Dr. Gallahorn has been a Veterinarian since 2003 & has worked in the profession since 1994. She completed her undergraduate studies in Biology at Virginia Tech, and then went on to graduate as a veterinarian from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003.

When asked many years ago about why she wanted to be a veterinarian, her answer was "to make people's lives better through their pets;" this still rings true for her today. She loves being able to positively impact people's lives by keeping their pets healthy. She lives across the James River in Smithfield with her husband John of nineteen years and their two beautiful daughters Riley and Katie. They have two pets at home; a cat named Ralphie and a rescued Maltese-Shih Tzu mix named Macie. Her passion outside of work and home are actively serving with the student ministry at Point Harbor Community Church in Chesapeake.
